Agra (Uttar Pradesh)
A former capital, Agra is located on the banks of the Yamuna River and forms part of the Golden Triangle tourist trail which includes Delhi and Jaipur. It is a major tourist destination and home to the Taj Mahal, truly one of the most beautiful and famous buildings in the world and easily the most recognisable World Heritage Site. However Agra has much more to offer with many stunning buildings, tombs and mausoleums, including Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri which are also World Heritage Sites.
